A superb DP47 1878 2d Die Proof Trial. Lighter and Fugitive Colours, Die II Retouced in Ultramarine on yellowish white wove paper
Overprint 'Specimen' of Type10 overprint. Lovely colour. Some paper adhesion on the back and a couple light thins does not detract from such a fine piece.
Only 2 or 3 examples known in different colours.
The only example we have handled.
